~ Three-time Grammy award winner Ricky Kej to hold a FREE LIVE concert at Gateway of India on Sunday ( 19th March) at 7pm and release a song dedicated to the Nationa Gallery of Modern Art.~

National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), Mumbai, a subordinate office of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, is pleased to announce the launch of “NGMA Amrit Mahotsav Video Anthem” composed by three-time Grammy award winner, Music composer Ricky Kej, along with a live concert by the internationally renowned artist and his team at the Gateway of India, Mumbai. The concert is free public event organized as part of project MUMBAI KAUSTUBH under the overall aegis of AKAM.

Ricky Key is a multi-Grammy award-winning Indian Music Composer and environmentalist who has performed at prestigious venues in over 30 countries, including the UN Headquarters in New York and Geneva. He is also a UNCCD Land Ambassador, UNESCO-MGIEP Global Ambassador for kindness, UNICEF Celebrity supporter, and an ambassador for the Earth Day Network.

As requested by NGMA, the artist has kindly agreed to perform in Mumbai on March 19th, 2023, which will be his first-ever concert in Mumbai after winning his third-Grammy award. The proposed show is the Ministry of Culture, Government of India’s launch event under the MUMBAI KAUSTUBH – a special initiative for Development of Cultural Spaces at Mumbai and hence assumes greater importance and significance.

Ms Nazneen Banu, Director of NGMA Mumbai, expressed her excitement about the event, stating, “We are thrilled to have Ricky Kej perform at the launch of the NGMA Amrit Mahotsav Video Anthem. This concert is a significant step towards promoting cultural spaces and art in Mumbai. It would be our endeavour to develop and revitalize more and more cultural spaces as part of MUMBAI KAUSTUBH and we plan to organize more such meaningfully curated events in the coming months. These events would be designed to provide meaningful creative engagements for wider & diverse audiences.”

Ricky Kej also expressed his enthusiasm for the concert saying, “I am honoured to be a part of this event and to perform for the people of Mumbai. It is a great pleasure to share my music and passion for the environment with everyone.”

Smt Meenakshi Lekhi, Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest at the event. Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Hon’ble Dy. CM of Maharashtra has also been invited to grace the occasion.
