Open Media strengthens partnership with international signage company to drive innovation

An innovative collaboration between a leading out-of-home advertising provider and a sign manufacturing company has brought cutting-edge digital display technology to prime locations in England for the first time.

The latest installation at BOXPARK Liverpool marks a significant milestone for Open Media, becoming the media owner’s first BOXPARK location outside of London, in a move that brings the vibrant energy of London’s Brick Lane to Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle.

The new LED display at BOXPARK Liverpool is the first to feature Daktronics’ EcoSmart technology in England. This technology offers up to 50% energy savings, aligning with Open Media’s dedication to sustainability.

EcoSmart technology incorporates eco-friendly features into Daktronics displays, such as hardware upgrades, blue light reduction, high-contrast louvres, intelligent content detection, and sleep mode. These features result in focused light, reduced eye strain, improved contrast, automatic brightness adjustment and minimal power consumption.

The impressive new digital screen measures 6.08 metres high by 16.32 metres wide with a 10-millimetre pixel spacing, ensuring excellent image clarity and contrast. Located in a bustling area of Liverpool, this display replaces a static banner with dynamic digital signage.
