The recognizable beat of New Order’s Blue Monday provides a dramatic backdrop to the spot that showcases travelers and their beloved silver suitcases.

Founded in 1898, Rimowa has been making luggage for over a hundred years. The brand has just released an ad that spotlights the design and craft that goes into each suitcase.

Titled ‘Engineered for Life,’ the spot begins in Rimowa’s factory in Cologne and then chronicles each case’s travels to their owners, who proudly bear the marks of their various journeys – dents, scratches and stickers.

“Behind every Rimowa case is a symphony of German engineering and the dedication of our community – the skilled artisans, passionate owners and the meticulous repair technicians,” says Emelie De Vitis, senior vice-president of product and marketing at Rimowa. “Together, we create cases that aren’t just built for life; they truly become a canvas for the enduring spirit of those who journey with us.”

Directed by acclaimed duo Rubberband, the spot is upbeat and fast-paced while being laser-focused on the product.

Camilla Harrisson, chief executive officer at Anomaly London, added: “‘Engineered for Life’ is a testament to Rimowa’s dedication to providing travelers with a lifetime of exceptional journeys. Through this campaign, Rimowa speaks to consumers looking for a suitcase that is a reliable companion that can resist the passing of time and makes memories along the way.”
