Dev Mehta, once popular as the child prodigy in the space of painting made his creative entrance as the youngest solo photographer with the first edition of ‘THE BUCKET SHOW’ which showcases his varied inspirational work at Mumbai’s popular Jehangir Art Gallery

Guest of Honour, Actor Boman Irani graced the inauguration ceremony. An avid photographer himself Boman Irani spent good time at the gallery familiarizing himself with the paintings and listening to the story behind each of them.

Dev Mehta’s creativity was discovered at a very young age when turned 5 years, he had started painting on canvas with oil paint. His first painting was called “From Tempest to Calmness.” This was the beginning of exploring his imagination on different sizes of canvasses, different mediums – watercolors, acrylic, oil, charcoal and digital without any formal training.

In his growing years he developed keen interest in technology, he started exploring his creativity through the digital medium. He started shooting photos since 2015 both with his iPhone as well as a DSLR camera. His Paintings, Digital Art and Photographs project inspiration and a positive outlook and each picture has a story to tell.

The young talented Dev says, “I am very excited to be the youngest photographer to have a solo show at the iconic Jehangir Art Gallery. It gives me immense pleasure to share a variation of narratives through my lens and I’m looking forward for the response.
