Turkish Airlines, one of the leading international airline arrives in Mumbai with the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup which was hosted at the Wellington Club on October 4, 2019.
The event was well attended by local high-profile invitees and members of the business community.
In its sixth year, the TAWGC has now become a much sort after event played by golf amateurs at the finest golf courses across the globe – Mumbai included.
Representing Mumbai, Teji Sabharwal, Make My Trip, Franchise Owner securing his champion position with 46 points, while Pradip M Patel, Chairman, Eimco Elecon India Ltd. was runner-up, and Khushal Thackersey, Executive Director, Hindoostan Mills came third.
The Nearest the Pin competition on the 18 hole was won by Vinay Agarwal, Director, Cannon Shipping Co. Ltd for the men and Malvika Miskita, M.T Miskita & Co. Law Fırm for the women. Khushal Thackersey-Executive Director at Hindoostan Mills won the lowest gross score with 61.
Since its inception in 2013, the TAWGC continues to deliver the highest quality of competitive Golf championship as over 8,000 players, all invited by the airline, who come together to compete against one another in over 100 tournaments played around the world.

The winners of this year’s tournament will qualify for the Grand Finals in Antalya in November, when they have the chance to secure a place in the Turkish Airlines Open pro-am, and will fly Business Class with Turkish Airlines.
